John Hughes dies at 59

6 Aug

Director John Hughes is well known for having his hand in (either directing, writing or producing) 80’s hits like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Hughes somehow always knew how to capture the drama and angst of being a teenager. The famous director died today in New York.

I still remember the first time I saw the Breakfast Club. I was so moved by the heart and honesty of each character. This is just one reason why I’m sure that he will always be remembered as an innovative filmmaker. May he rest in peace.
